Welcome to Auckland, Kim Tairi
Join us over yum char
I think Auckland is very very lucky to have the wonderful Kim Tairi as the new AUT University Librarian!
You may remember Kim from her keynote at LIANZA’s conference in Wellington last year.
Kim Tairi is an educator, librarian and maker/crafter who has been working in the tertiary education sector in Australia for over 20 years.
A returning ex-pat born in Invercargill, she is looking forward to reconnecting with the culture, people and land.
If you Google Kim you will see she has an extensive digital footprint and social media presence. She have even been called the “queen of the librarian selfie” and can be found on twitter at: @kimtairi.
Now that Kim has begun to find her way around the CBD I thought it would be nice to organise an informal ‘Welcome to Auckland’ celebration for her.
You are warmly invited to come and say ‘Hi’ to Kim
over Yum Char at Grand Harbour Restaurant, Viaduct Harbour Auckland
on Saturday 20 February 12:30-1:30pm.
Everyone is welcome. Kim is looking forward to meeting as many library-type peeps as possible so don’t be shy, bring a friend!
Please RSVP so I can provide an indication of numbers to the venue.
17 Feb 2pm: RSVPs have closed and bookings have been finalised with the venue.
