Hi Rachel, the series definitely has appeal and is certainly popular with a lot of library customers. I can see why it would be a favourite.
This is one of my favourite series ever, so I feel I have to defend it a bit.
Yes the amount of characters can be confusing, but they all fit together as shown by your diagram.
As the series goes on it is interesting to see how the relationships develop (or not).
I would recommend the series to library users who are interested in a small town based romance series.
