97/100 Days of Creativity: Simple Pleasures

Every night after dinner Barry and I walk around the block enjoying the solitude as the neighbourhood slowly settles in for the night. In the weekends we go to the park for a couple of hours to investigate all the exciting smells and quietly rejoice in the glory of the weekend. I usually listen to some classical music while Barry follows one adventurous trail after another. Barry knows this is also when we play fetch with his ustibar. It’s his favourite way to spend the day and there is nothing so joyous as seeing a dog happily chewing on a ustibar.

For 100 consecutive days I will write and post a short story (about 100 words) incorporating a randomly selected word from Afterliff: A new dictionary of things there should be words for.

Today’s word:
ustibar n.
A snack that claims to be healthy, made of honey, twigs and gravel.

Tomorrow’s word:
snaith n.
Envy of another person’s Twitter following.
