Once upon a time in a faraway land there lived a boy called Maui.
Maui lived with his mother and five older brothers in a small house in the city.
Maui’s brothers were tweed heads. They thought Maui was a nuisance and they refused to let him go fishing with them.
Maui so desperately wanted to go fishing that he hid in the hull of the waka and didn’t come out until his brothers were far out to sea. Maui then put his tweed head brothers to shame and caught the biggest fish anyone had ever seen. Everyone cheered except his brothers.
For 100 consecutive days I will write and post a short story (about 100 words) incorporating a randomly selected word from Afterliff: A new dictionary of things there should be words for.
