Meet Dr Michael Stephens in Christchurch

Michael StephensA superstar in library circles, Dr Michael Stephens is an Assistant Professor in the School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University whose research focuses on the use of emerging technologies in libraries and technology learning programmes.

You may also be familiar with Michael’s website Tame the Web and The Hyperlinked Library: A Massive Open Online Course for LIS Professionals. Or perhaps you’re a regular reader of his Library Journal column, Office Hours.

At the moment Michael is in New Zealand, keynoting at the LIANZA Conference, and is looking forward to meeting as many library staff as possible when he visits Christchurch.

You are warmly invited to come and say ‘hello’ to Michael over drinks at Pomeroy’s on Kilmore on Saturday 2 November at 5:30pm.
